A week ago I traveled down to the Chatfield State Park near Denver. There were thse adorable Owlets with their Mommy in one of the trees at the RV park. The mother owl was huge! I couldn’t get a great picture of her, but I managed to get an adorable picture of her babies, as well as some pretty flowers and some kind of a falcon.

Personally, I don’t really think there’s any point in art unless you share it. So, now that I have an outlet for it, I’m going to post some of my favorite nature photographs that I’ve taken.

These were all taken at the lake near my house in the summertime or up in the mountains near Evergreen, Colorado.

To finish off my weekend of randomly getting a cold, I decided to take a family trip to the mountains. It was mainly to get some sounds for my thesis project, but I also wanted to get some pictures of the leaves changing color. I’m hoping we can go back again next weekend. I really would have liked to have gone farther into the forest.

The sun seemed to not want to shine for me which is unfortunate as the sun definitely would have made for some pretty shots. The sun started coming out as soon as we came down the mountain. Go figure.

We didn’t find the spot we used to go to when I was young, but my father thinks “we were just about there”. Smiley faces are way more fun than just our initials anyways.

As soon as I get a soundcloud account, I’ll start linking my sounds I record. But for now, enjoy the photos. =)
