This is an entry into a contest with the theme “bite size” that I’ve called Miniature Creations. In an effort to motivate myself and bring attention to my existence to the professional world, I’ve begun entering contests to get a feel for what I can do. Below is one of my entries, it didn’t place, but it’s a start.
It was an experience I’m glad I had. It was the first time I created any kind of a set to film. I spent a few nights painting the cardboard, setting up the shot, lighting it, editing and the likes. The hardest part was ironically creating the origami tulips. I’m just hopeless at origami.
Below are a couple behind the scenes photos.
My next project is going to be creating a narrative short film that I’m editing for an international competition. Wish me luck! I’m about halfway through writing the script. I’ve also been gathering some clips that I believe would look good with my lines.
