FAQs
Have questions about The Shadow's Creed Saga, and if it's the right series for you or as a gift for someone else? Here are a few frequently asked questions. Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions.
For what age range were these books written?
These books are suitable for anyone 13 and older. The main characters' ages range from 19-48 years old, so it's good for anyone who is trying to find their place in the world (young adult) or for readers who are trying to be a better person (new adult). No explicit content, swearing or "adult content".
Do I need to know about Japanese culture?
Most concepts and words are written in a way that you can understand them without needing to know any additional context. However, there is a glossary on my website of Japanese terms. They are also included in each book.
Are these books similar to anime or manga?
Yes, they are. Anime readers usually enjoy the series as it features Japanese culture and has anime vibes such as similar story telling narratives, "slice of life" character interactions, scenes reminiscent of anime sword fighting, and details told in panel like progression. The Shadow's Creed Saga is similar to Rurouni Kenshin and Naruto.
What inspired The Shadow's Creed Saga?
The Shadow's Creed Saga is loosely based on the samurai code of honor (Bushido), and takes place in a fantasy Feudal Japan.
